Founded by Jagtar Singh (CEO & Founder) and Gitika Saluja (Co-Founder & COO), Marmotech is built on years of industry expertise, deep product knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to quality. We work directly with manufacturers in Italy, the USA, and across Canada, carefully researching and testing every product before it reaches our customers. Our Story
Jagtar moved to Italy as a child and completed his schooling in Vicenza. His stone industry career began when he started working in a stone fabrication factory — cutting slabs from blocks, applying resin, and polishing stone. After mastering every stage of production, he transitioned into sales, starting with blocks and slabs sales across northern Italy and later expanding into international markets such as Dubai, India, and other parts of South Asia. He eventually became Export Manager, overseeing shipments to multiple countries. In 2018, he moved to Canada and joined the Canadian operations of an Italian-headquartered stone tools and chemicals company as Director of Sales & Operations, where he successfully established and promoted the brand across the country. Gitika moved to Canada in 2021 to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Gifted with a natural talent for numbers, exceptional multi-tasking skills, and a problem-solver’s mindset, she approaches challenges with optimism and energy. While working part-time, she met Jagtar, who quickly recognized her abilities and brought her on board as an accountant at his previous workplace. Her attention to detail, ability to manage multiple responsibilities, and upbeat personality made her an invaluable part of the team. Their professional collaboration and shared passion for the stone industry grew — and so did their vision for creating something of their own. Together, they founded Marmotech, united by their mission to deliver only the best for the stone industry.
